DECA

At Auburn, we’re always looking for ways to prepare students not just for graduation, but for life beyond the classroom. That’s why we’re proud to offer DECA — the Distributive Education Clubs of America — as part of our career and leadership opportunities.

DECA is a global student organization that helps high school and college students explore careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management through hands-on, real-world experiences. In DECA, students don’t just learn about business — they do business.

Through classroom connections, chapter projects, competitive events, and leadership activities, DECA helps students:

  • Build confidence and professional communication skills
  • Practice teamwork, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making
  • Apply classroom learning to real-world business scenarios
  • Explore future careers and college pathways
  • Develop leadership skills that last a lifetime

Students participate in role-plays, case studies, and projects that mirror real workplace challenges, all while learning the importance of competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. Many students discover new interests, gain career clarity, and develop skills that give them a competitive edge in college, careers, and beyond.

Most importantly, DECA is fun, motivating, and empowering. It gives students a place to belong, grow, and challenge themselves — all while preparing for their future.

We’re excited to offer DECA at Auburn and grateful for your continued support as we help students turn their potential into purpose.

If you have any questions about DECA or how your student can get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
